Hi! I'm EMILY, a portrait photographer based in Fredericton, NB.
I'm originally from a small town outside of Ottawa, Ontario. I moved to Fredericton in 2011 to finish my BSc. in Geology Honours, which I completed in 2014. I went on to complete my MSc. in Geology in January 2018, and decided it was time to pursue my creative outlets. I have been focused on creating my photography business this past year, and I'm exhilerated to see how much my style and skills have evolved. I also started a pet illustration business (Furry Pixels).
I enjoy everything about the photo taking process: interacting with clients, getting to know new people and hearing their stories, collaborating with other creatives, and helping preserve memories that will be looked back on fondly. I love seeing my clients share the photos we've created proudly.
A bit more about me: I have two cats that own my heart, Iggy and Meta, that I rescued in 2011. I have been working at American Eagle since August of 2018, and I am currently the Staffing Supervisor. If you see me, SAY HI! I am a huge goofball, and my goofy/fun personality definitely helps ease people into being comfortable in front of the camera! I have a loving, supportive boyfriend who I met in geology, and who is on his way to being a professor. We are huge nerds and play/own way too many board games. Along with him, I have an AMAZING support system who I am so thankful for. They have encouraged me every step of the way on this crazy journey I'm on, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
